May Empties

Image
As we say hello to June, I thought I'd share my May empties with you. Here's my strangely satisfying basket of empty products, so yes, rubbish! NS-8 Heel Balm Complex- A lotion for dry, cracked heels that acted as nourishing as a balm. My favourite way of using this product was to slather my feet at bedtime and cover with socks overnight. The result being super smooth feet. Repurchase? Yes, I would love to get my hands on some more of this! Skinn PM Cleanser - I finished 2 of these cleansers, 1 being full size, the other a travel size. A creamy cleanser that I used day and night because I no longer want to use gel cleansers. Repurchase? I still have another to use. Skinn Hydro-Vital Cream - A rich moisturiser that can be used day and night. Targeted for dry skin. Nice product, but I hate the packaging. I much prefer airless, or even a pump so I'm not dipping my fingers into the product. Repurchase? A fantastic moisturiser to hydrate the skin, b

Skin Republic Collagen Infusion Sheet Mask

Image
I have heard so many great things about the Skincare Republic sheet masks, so I finally got my hands on one to try. I ordered the Collagen Infusion through Beauty Heaven's generous rewards system where I was able to swap earned points for products on offer during Beautorium events. You can read more about the rewards program here . Taken from Skincare Republic - "Moisture boosting marine collagen, elastin and vitamin E rejuvenate and revitalise the skin's elasticity tone and firmness. Promoting healthy skin and minimising the appearance of deep wrinkles and fine lines, helping your skin look younger and glow with vitality." The sheet mask is packaged in a foil packet that simply needs to be torn open. I did detect a fragrance, but it was very subtle. The sheet mask fit to my face well, having the typical holes for eyes, nose and mouth. I like that it was drenched in the serum, but not to the point of being too slippery to not only place on the face, but it st

Makeup Revolution Light and Shade Palette

Image
I had held off reviewing the Makeup Revolution Light and Shade eye shadow palette because of the controversy around this dupe. I can understand KvD being upset about the palette being an obvious rip-off of her Shade and Light palette. But, as a stay-at-home mum who has to watch what she spends, I do love myself a dupe. Taken from TAM Beauty - "The eye shadow palette you NEED in your life! Everything you need for every day neutral eye shadow looks. Highly pigmented, smooth and blendable matte shades ranging from cool tones to warm tones, and the perfect shades to contour and define your eye shape." I love that the palette is split up into 3, placing the same toned shades together. Beginning with a section of neutral, then cool and warm. This palette for someone like me that enjoys playing with colour, is the perfect companion palette. I can match the tones of my eye contour depending on the lid colour I choose. The matte shades are a little powdery, which I'v

Julien Farel Anti-Aging Haircare- Vitamin Restore

Image
Julien Farel is one of the top hairstylists in the world with over 30 years of experience in the industry. He decided to incorporate his knowledge of hair, combined with the concept of anti-aging skincare into a haircare range.  I must admit that haircare does not usually excite me, but the idea of products with anti-aging ingredients designed for the scalp and hair is exciting! Today I wanted to show you the Vitamin Restore. This is no ordinary 2-in-1 product. It is an anti-aging hair treatment that cleanses and   conditions the hair and scalp in one easy step.  The treatment contains Hyaluronic Acid, Echinacea stem cells, bio-flavonoids, resveratrol and vitamin B, C and E. These potent ingredients are formulated in the patented A2B Technology delivery molecule which ensures that the formula is delivered to where it is needed, actively penetrating the scalp during washing. Vitamin Restore comes in a 250 ml bottle, which peaks into a small nozzle at the top.

AOA Studio Liquid Lipsticks

Image
AOA is a brand that I had never heard of until I came across online store Shop Miss A . This store sells makeup, beauty tools and much more with almost everything costing no more than US$1, which is crazy to me. There are reviews of the products, which does make it easier when choosing what to buy. Though, at US$1 hit and miss products are not a huge deal. I bought mostly makeup, but threw in a few sheet masks and even a pair of sunnies! What I would like to show you today are the AOA Studio liquid lipsticks. I bought both matte and metal versions. From left to right we have OMG, Tease, Vanity, Sugar and Moon. The lipsticks come with a standard doe foot applicator. They have a thin consistency. I find application fairly easy and these shades are nicely pigmented and are opaque in one application. No patchiness or streaking. I was pleasantly surprised with just how comfortable the liquid lipsticks are to wear. It feels like there is nothing on my lips. The

Stocktake 2017- Perfume

Image
Now that I have a designated area for all my beauty products, I thought I'd do a little stocktake of everything while reorganizing. If you haven't seen my Beauty Room Tour, you can check that out  here .  Up first is my perfume collection, the last time I did a count of my perfumes it was way back in July of 2015. The post I wrote on that is here . So this is where I am almost 3 years later... Here are my regular over the counter perfumes. I rarely buy them now. Previous count was 15 and I now have 18. As you can see, I have a few mini perfumes, so I shouldn't have much problem finishing those. Indie perfumes is where my love of perfume really lies. I had to break up the collection into a few photos. Here goes :) This photo shows perfumes from Arcadian Designs, Something Special and there's a few others that I am not sure of the brand. These perfumes were created by a dear friend who truly has a gift, actually more than one. Su is on Instagr
